Welcome to Sin & Punishment Wiki

This Wiki is all about Sin & Punishment, it's characters and lore and anything related too.

News[]

  • Sin & Punishment released on the Wii U eShop recently. Apparently you're better off with the Wii version. Don't take my word for it - I don't have a Wii U yet! The re-release of Star Successor is perfectly fine and supports the gamepad for screen and controls.

The games[]

Sin and Punishment ( ~の継承者~ Tsumi to Batsu: Hoshi no Keishousha?, lit. "Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth"), is a shooter game developed by Treasure and Nintendo Research & Development 1, published by Nintendo. The game was released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan in 2000, and on the iQue Player in China in 2004, before being re-released internationally for Nintendo's Virtual Console service in 2007. The game's success on Virtual Console prompted Nintendo to announce a sequel for the Wii titled Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, which was released in 2009.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, released in Europe as Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies, and in Japan as Sin and Punishment: Sora no Kōkeisha (罪と罰 ~の~ Tsumi to Batsu: Sora no Kōkeisha?, lit. "Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Universe") is a 2009 rail shooter video game for Wii developed by Treasure and published by Nintendo. It is the sequel to the Nintendo 64 video game Sin and Punishment.

Set many years after the first game, Star Successor focuses on Isa Jo, the son of Saki and Airan from the first game, and a mysterious young woman named Kachi. The game is compatible with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, featuring online leaderboards. While the original game featured English voice acting in both the Japanese and English versions, the sequel has Japanese voice acting for the Japanese version, as well as the option to switch between Japanese and English voice acting in the non-Japanese versions.
